8″ x 10″ oil on panel
This painting was inspired by a photo my daughters brought back from Brussels…I fell in love with the idea of the older woman sitting next to the young boy and as I painted I realized that it depicts something I have really been thinking a lot about lately…waiting. It seems that no matter what age we are, we are always waiting for something… and the ultimate waiting is symbolized with the light at the end of the tunnel. : )
Here’s the picture…
“Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31
