This is one of those paintings that just flows…love it when it does that… I got up at 4 in the morning had my quiet prayer time and then started painting and was done by 6:15. Yes!
Last May there were horrendous tornadoes that ripped through Moore, Oklahoma where my son and his family live. The first one missed them, but the second one ripped off half the roof of their barn and it lay in tangled pieces strewn over their yard and their neighbor’s pasture. While the guys picked up the debris, my daughters and I planted a flower garden for my sister-in-law. This painting was inspired by a photo I took when we finished.
Great composition! Congrats on completing it so early. I don’t think my brain can function so early 😀

Thanks…I’m wondering if I can function better earlier…I’ll have to try it again sometime.
By the way I’ve been trying to comment on your blog and it keeps saying I’m not logged in. Don’t know exactly what to do about it…but I want you to know how much I love the brilliant colors in your paintings. I’ve been trying to use brighter colors…you are an inspiration. 🙂

This painting is a joy to look at. You have captured the figures merging into the landscape so well. Love the light hitting them too.
