Back in September’s 30 Paintings in 30 Days, I worked on a painting and posted it as “How Does Your Garden Grow?”
I received permission to paint a beautiful photograph, and I wanted to paint it on an 11″ x 14″ masonite board. But first I did a smaller painting of this subject on an 8″ x 10″ canvas, which a dear friend fell in love with a bought, and since then I’ve been working on the larger piece. I have scraped this painting at least 3 times and the beautiful gardener has been done over at least 7 times. So today I decided to work on just her. I can’t say I’m finished, but what I have realized is that I need a very tiny brush with maybe one bristle, because even with a magnifying glass it is so hard for me to get this face right. I know I will tweek this tomorrow, but for now here she is…
