I spent all day working on this painting. I just had to finish it…and I’m happy to say I’m almost there…
Back in September’s 30 Paintings in 30 Days, I worked on a painting and posted it as “How Does Your Garden Grow?”
I received permission to paint a beautiful photograph, and I wanted to paint it on an 11″ x 14″ masonite board. But first I did a smaller painting of this subject on an 8″ x 10″ canvas, which a dear friend fell in love with a bought, and since then I’ve been working on the larger piece. I have scraped this painting at least 3 times and the beautiful gardener has been done over at least 7 times. So today I decided to work on just her. I can’t say I’m finished, but what I have realized is that I need a very tiny brush with maybe one bristle, because even with a magnifying glass it is so hard for me to get this face right. I know I will tweek this tomorrow, but for now here she is…
And hopefully I will post the finished painting tomorrow. 🙂
I found these three feathers when walking through the woods, and Thelma inspired me to paint them with her feather painting…
We had two little visitors today…Jasmine and Jade. How can you resist when two little sweethearts ask you for a painting?
Jasmine wanted a white pony with a pink and purple sunset and Jade wanted a baby deer and a bunny playing in a wild forest.
So here is the white pony…
Gift for Jasmine 🙂
This really isn’t Dee Dee’s boat…It is Dee Dee’s photo of a boat that I saw on her blog… With Reverence. I’ve been looking for a boat to paint, because I want to get back to my main theme for this 30 Days which is guys, and guys love boats. When I saw Dee Dee’s photo I just thought it would be perfect. Thank you so much, Dee Dee.
As usual I’m still working on this one… I have a son who climbs everything. This painting is from a couple of photos taken by my daughter at Lake Norfork one summer. Always loved how the water was reflecting on the rocks above. I’ll post this again when I finish it tomorrow. 🙂

When my daughters and I took our trip to Michigan last fall, we spent some time in the beautiful little town of Holland. Behind one of the gift shops sat these colorful Adirondack chairs…one for each of us. But wouldn’t you know it, it had rained the night before and they were all wet. Oh well, I still got a picture..and now a painting!
