Day 1~ Addie Pooh

So here it is Day 1 of  30 Paintings in 30 Days…I’ve tried to think of a theme as Leslie suggested and the closest I can come to is… Joys of Childhood.  We’ll see how this goes. I have a few ideas in mind, but not 30…

To start off I’ll introduce you to my cuddliest ever little granddaughter who is the model of my first painting…

Addie copy

Addie Pooh

8″ x 10″ oil on canvas

Here she is sitting in a red chair watching her daddy pour concrete, and someone just happened to capture this moment when she had her sunglasses on for just a minute. Love those precious moments that can be captured for ever, don’t you?

    1. Thanks, Pam…I’ve already changed the painting a bit. I’ll take another photo tomorrow. I moved my “studio” out from the dining room into the garage, and I can see that the lighting is not good for photos. Don’t have a lot of time to work out these details lately… This 30 days will get me back on track, I hope. It’s good to be connecting again. 🙂

    1. What would we do without cameras??? I admire those artists in the past that captured those moments without a photo to help. How did they do it, aside from having models sit or stand in one place for hours? It’s mind-boggling to me.
