The other evening out on the nearby lake in the kayak…
There is a story behind this… My adventurous/techie/photographer son and my adventurous/gardener/sporty daughter took the kayak out on a nearby lake in the evening as the sun was setting. We have some of the most beautiful sunsets here in Oklahoma, and this night just happened to be super gorgeous. My son has a GoPro camera, and took an amazing photograph of the two of them silhouetted against the sunset. Of course the camera takes kind of a sweeping distorted panorama photo which is awesome, but I thought I would try and paint it as you would have seen it in real life with the horizon in a straight line.
That’s the story… 🙂
Oh…another thing…I asked my family what to name the photo…the consensus was Go Somewhere, which is a hashtag for a kayak site. I looked up the hashtag this morning and found a not so nice Urban definition and so I just thought I would change it…
Is anyone else having a hard time keeping up with all this newness???
Oh wow! This is wonderful Karin!! Love that sky!

I did the sky over about 4 times. I should have taken pictures on how it kept changing, but the sky does change all the time in real life. So there is nothing new about that, is there? 🙂 Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment.

Your sky in this painting just grabbed me! Well done. Yes, I’m trying to keep up too, and I need some hash tag lessons from my daughters!
