This morning for the first time I can remember our nearby lake was foggy, misty…beautiful. The air has been saturated with little tiny droplets for two days now. As I walked in this misty wonderland I couldn’t help but notice nature’s palette…
Olive green…yellow ochre…burnt sienna…raw umber… and gray…gray…and more gray…
Here is the beginning of my Misty Lake painting…
I still have to add a tree…or two…or maybe not…
Beautiful. Only an artist would see more than gray I think.

I asked my husband when he came home from work if he recognized what I had painted, and he squinted at it and said, “Are those frogs?” Ha-ha… Now I’m seeing frogs, can you?

Lovely! I vote for an animal instead of trees. Maybe a bird? (Of course I say “put a bird on it” being from Portlandia 🙂 )

I love birds. There are lots of geese and blue herons at the lake…maybe a blue heron in the mist… Great idea!

I see frogs!!! 😉 Love seeing your palette. You should always post pictures of your colors along with your paintings, I think.
