Day 1 ~ Floral Frivolity

I’m really happy to be starting this round of 30 Paintings in 30 Days. Night before last as I gathered my inspirations around me, I remembered last year painting a bouquet of flowers “September Bouquet” using the Pantone palette for fall 2014. So I looked up the Pantone palette for fall 2015 and here it is…

This is what I did with the palette using a photo of a small bouquet of dahlias and roses that I picked last week…

I discovered that in the actual Pantone palette, the colors were rather dull, so I added a little pizazz… Can you see the palette in the painting?
