Day 3 ~ August Sunrise

My daughter Sage and I have been walking at the lake most every morning… Half the time is spent walking… the other half soaking in the beauty of the sunrise, taking photos, talking out life situations and most importantly praising God. An artist can capture a moment of time, but when God paints His sunrises and sunsets, they change continually and are new every moment and every morning and every evening. There is not one that is going to be exactly like another…

Did you know the definition of august is inspiring reverence or admiration; of supreme dignity or grandeur; majestic

One of my goals for this challenge is to paint more of the gorgeous Oklahoma sunrises and cloud formations that we view in the mornings over  Guthrie Lake.

  1. Oh this is stunning. I have been enamored of the sunsets since we moved. The clouds turning pink and peach, the purple. And yes, so in awe of God’s creation, each moment a new gift 🙂 So excited to see your skies!

    1. God’s creation is so beautiful. I don’t know why I’ve been missing out on these sunrises all these years. So glad to have someone to walk with and share this awesomeness. Next I’m going to have to find a great place to view the sunsets. 🙂 Thanks, Sheila.

  2. This is gorgeous, Karin! Wish I could take a walk with you here! Reminds me of the hymn “For the Beauty of the Earth”. All we have to do look around at this beautiful earth to know there is a God.
