My daughters brought some beautiful photos home from their trip to Australia and Tasmania, and now I get to paint them…
18″ x 24″ oil on canvas
$860
This one is of the Bay of Fires in Tasmania. I love the colors of the ocean and the big granite boulders. At first I thought the name came from the color of the lichen on the rocks, but it was actually named back in the 1700’s by a ship captain who saw the fires of Aboriginal people on the beaches.
I’m working on two more paintings that I’ll share soon. I can’t decide whether or not to do the 30 in 30 Challenge this time around… I guess I only have a couple of days to make up my mind. 🙂
That water is gorgeous! And those rocks look rough and rugged. Beautiful work. I for one hope you decide to do the challenge. Always such a joy to see your work. Happy New Year Karin 🙂

Thank you, Sheila. Love to see your work, too. But I can still keep up with you, even if I’m not posting. 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful year. ❤
