I’m at a stopping point with this painting now. I need some advice on the background. Still not sure if I should cut the painting down or paint the background one color. What are your thoughts?

Personally, I think the background is too busy. Perhaps, I’ll put it away again and take a fresh look in a few months.
Sometimes that just happens. 😦

Hmmm… I think it is cropped too close. Should have a little more space around her. I like the large one. Maybe one color but keep the chandelier. Or multi hues, but shades of the same color. as it is now, it sort of looks dreamy. As if she is practicing, and dreaming of performing in a large symphony hall. I think the large canvas allows the focus to rest on her. The smaller crop, it feels like the instrument dominates the scene. OK, shutting up. LOL 🙂 Happy creating in any case Karin 🙂

I think it’s perfect the way it is. I haven’t been on WordPress in forever, but I had to log to tell you my thoughts. And I had to save the image of the top one on my phone before you change the background. 😄

Hi!!! 🙂 🙂 It’s so good to see you here. It has been a long time for me too. So much has happened since we last posted about chickens and gardening. I don’t have my chickens any more. 😦 Something killed them and my husband was tired of trapping critters, and I definitely didn’t want that job, so I never bought any more. How are you all doing? Thank you for the compliment. I did change the background this morning. I’ll post later today and you can see which one you like better. 🙂
