I’m going to do a little updating on what’s going on in my art world… I finished this painting…
12″ x 16″ oil on canvas
…and I am almost finished with this one…
Aspens are my favorite trees and the aqua blue is my favorite color, so combining these two on a large canvas has been a lot of fun for me. 🙂
And some very exciting news…the founder of the restaurant Kitchen No. 324 bought my painting…
That’s it for now… I’m going to try and get a little head start on 30 Paintings in 30 Days which is only a month away. Can you believe it???
I have painted a pair of shoes, or boots for every 30 Day Challenge, so I can’t quit now. I actually scraped a pair of boots that I had been working on and painted a totally different colored boot.
8″ x 10″ oil on ampersand panel
As I was tediously painting on the stitches I thought of our own home town artist boot maker Lisa Sorrel. You should check out her boots…they start at $5,000. Her website – Lisa Sorrel Boot Maker

It doesn’t snow much here on the prairie where we live, but one winter we had a really good snow, and the girl’s took full advantage of it finding the highest hill they could, which is not easy here on the plains. This turned out to be a fabulous sledding party.
This is day 5 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days. Leslie Saeta who is putting on this challenge for artists suggested that we do a calendar with 12 of our paintings. I thought this was a great idea, so I came up with a couple winter scenes.
Notice my women are faceless…for now, anyway…:)
