Day 24 ~ Headed to the Mountains

I love the view of the mountains as you are drawing close to them. To get to the mountains from where I live is a long grueling trip through the prairie. So that first glimpse is precious. Day 7 ~ Clouds Over the Prairie

One of my goals this month is to paint sunrises and clouds. I’ve been collecting photos for a long time. This landscape happens to be from a photo I took last September when I attempted  clouds and reflections over a lake. On the way to the lake I  had to stop and take this one…

I never finished my other painting  Evening Walk at Guthrie Lake. That might be a good project for this month. 🙂

Day 13 ~ My Father’s World

Moving all my art stuff out into our old music room, which used to be the garage, was hard for me, but I was really outgrowing the dining room. I did miss listening to music while I painted, and Pandora has really been wonderful for me.

All that to say that when I was painting my Texas bluebonnet landscape…

…a beautiful hymn sung by Jadon Lavik changed my whole perspective in my painting…it is my Father’s world…His sky, His clouds, His sunrise, His mountains, His valleys, His rivers, His bluebonnets…

Hope you’ll take the time to stop and enjoy… 🙂
