Day 12 ~ Tasmania Bay

Not sure, but I think this might be the Bay of Fires in Tasmania, that I have painted several paintings of before. My daughters went to Tasmania a couple of years ago and I asked them to take pictures so I could paint some beautiful scenes that I will never get to see. I played around with a palette knife on this one. I’m really liking the textures.

This is actually larger and not square, but my regular camera is not working very well, so I saved this from my Instagram. The actual painting is 12″ x 16″ oil on canvas.

The Ocean at Westcliff

I’ve been trying to post each one of these paintings separately, but I can’t seem to get the individual photos to line up and accurately portray the colors. This is a commissioned piece made up of 3 Β  12″ x 12″ gallery wrapped canvases, so the painting actually continues on the sides of each one.

Day 14 ~ Beach at Ras Tanura

Many of you probably have no idea where Ras Tanura is, but I spent about 6 years of life there when I was a teen. Ras Tanura is in Saudi Arabia right on the Persian Gulf. The beach there was incredibly beautiful. I remember the ocean being a turquoise color and the sand was so white… Here’s my mini rendition of that beach…
