Day 3 ~ August Sunrise

My daughter Sage and I have been walking at the lake most every morning… Half the time is spent walking… the other half soaking in the beauty of the sunrise, taking photos, talking out life situations and most importantly praising God. An artist can capture a moment of time, but when God paints His sunrises and sunsets, they change continually and are new every moment and every morning and every evening. There is not one that is going to be exactly like another…

Did you know the definition of august is inspiring reverence or admiration; of supreme dignity or grandeur; majestic

One of my goals for this challenge is to paint more of the gorgeous Oklahoma sunrises and cloud formations that we view in the mornings over  Guthrie Lake.

Day 5 ~ Sunrise Silouettes

My daughter and I have been going for walks almost every morning at the lake nearby… sometimes we beat the sun and this morning was one of those incredible mornings of witnessing the sunrise.  Three geese were standing together by the lake silhouetted by the early morning shadows… Totally inspired to paint the scene I snapped a picture with the phone…

I still need to tweak this a little tomorrow after it dries a bit… straighten some lines, do some brush strokes…
