Number 1 in my “Old World” series.
We’ve gone to the market. 🙂 We’ve bought our turkeys, our cranberries, our stuffing ingredients…
My contribution this year… a Decadent Chocolate-Espresso Cheesecake and a Cranberry Cheesecake with Cranberry-Orange Sauce from Southern Living. Yummmm!
I saw these and I couldn’t resist… 🙂

Some of you know that I started knitting last year and have completed 7 and a half pairs of socks and a hooded sweater and scarves and a hat and now I’m working on a pair of fingerless Latvian mittens. For those of you who don’t know what a Latvian mitten is here’s a couple of pictures…
And what does this have to do with painting you may wonder? After falling in love with these Latvian mittens I did some research on the old Latvian traditional dress. Being inspired by all things lovely I decided to do a series of old world traditional costumes.
Here’s the beginning of my first painting …Three Women in France ~ Old World
I’m going to keep this very loose…very impressionistic.
Thought you all would enjoy seeing a few pictures…
My art was featured in the center of the glass gallery in Guthrie. Glenda, the shop owner, blows glass in the back room, and she sells glass, jewelry and paintings from many different artists.
The cards were absolutely a best seller…
Thanks to all of you who stopped by and to all of you who encourage me here on my blog… I appreciate you all so much!!! 🙂
I’m excited to be part of this…
